Just read an article that says new research out shows that cutting calories by just 15% for a couple of years can slow the metabolic process that results in accelerated aging. The calorie cutting can also help protect the body from age related illnesses.
This does not seem like an extreme measure at all and very doable. How easy is it to just remove about 15% of whatever we would normally eat. Ordering the smaller portions of items can save a lot of money meal after meal in the long run. I try the portion control trick of just ordering the take home container up front. That way I can remove some of the food and use for another meal, which stretches those meal dollars and lowers the calorie count all at once.
